What is not included in the trip?
- Flights (approximately 150 € per person round trip).
- Guide in Ait Ben Haddou: 3 € per person.
- Lunches (during the 5 days) and dinners (only the 2 nights in Marrakech, since they are included in the 3-day desert route).
What does the trip include?
- Minibus transportation during the 3-day desert tour.

- Two nights in a superior category hotel with breakfast in the Medina or very close to the Medina of Marrakech.
- Two nights of superior category accommodation with breakfast and dinner included (hotel in Dades village and Berber haima in the desert).

Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech
Free time to discover the city of Marrakech and enter the Medina , through the labyrinth of narrow streets that make up the famous Marrakech souk .
Day 2: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
On the first day, we will leave Marrakech behind and head towards Ouarzazate. Along the way we will cross the amazing landscapes of the Atlas Mountains along the incredible Tizi n'Tichka pass , 2,260 metres high.
Halfway there we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou , the setting for films such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven . Here you will have two and a half hours of free time to eat and explore the most amazing fortified city in Morocco.
Continuing the route we will arrive at Ouarzazate, where we will stop for half an hour to take photos of the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt.
We return to the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs towards Skoura, and from here we will cross the Roses Valley to finally reach the Dades Valley , where we will stay.
Day 3: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast we will set off towards the Dades Valley and we will cross the incredible Todra Gorges to walk and enjoy the scenery.
We will continue our way towards Merzouga and cross the Jorf Palm Grove , popular for being the birthplace of the best dates in the country, and we will eat before arriving at Erfoud , a small town known for its fossil fragments.
Once in Merzouga we will leave the vehicle for Going into the desert on a camel in search of the camp where We will spend the night here, in the silence of the desert. Erg Chebbi , we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in all of Morocco.
Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Alni - Tizi N'Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
If there is something unforgettable in the Erg Chebbi desert It is the sunrise . After contemplating this moment, we will have breakfast at the camp and begin the last day.
On the way back to Marrakech we will pass by the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the village of Rissani , origin of the Alaouite dynasty. We will cross the plateaus of Accacia raddiana and the stone desert to reach Alnif , where we will take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range passing through Tizi N'tfarkhin . We will continue our way through the village of Tinghir and the Dades Valley.
We will arrive at Klaat M'Gouna At noon, we will stop to eat and rest before continuing the journey to Marrakech passing through Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.
We will be back in Marrakech around 8:30 p.m.
Day 5: Marrakech
More free time to visit the city and get a closer look at what local life is like.

What is the average price of meals not included in the tour?
The price of meals ranges from 10 to 12 euros, depending on the menu chosen. The menu includes a starter, main course and dessert. Drinks are usually not included, although in some cases water is included.
How many people are in the groups?
It depends on the number of participants, but they are usually between 6 and 16 people. On author trips, there is a maximum of 7 participants, as small groups are used.
Can I bring luggage during the excursion?
Yes. Luggage will always be in the vehicle or stored at the hotel. When travelling by camel, you can only carry one backpack.
Can I pay by card at the places I visit?
It is recommended to bring cash, as not all places accept cards.
How to make a reservation?
To book any of our tours or packages, you must specify the desired date in the special instructions section of the order when making the reservation. Once the fields are completed, confirmation will be immediate.
How many hours will we spend in the car during the excursion?
The car journeys are approximately 8 hours, during which stops will be made. On the last day, the car journey will be approximately 10 hours.
Is WiFi available at the campsite?
WiFi is available if you book in a higher category, but you should bear in mind that it only works for sending and receiving messages. For this reason, we recommend purchasing a SIM card to have 3G.
Are there electrical outlets in the tents at the standard campsite?
No, only in the camp restaurant.
Does the transport have air conditioning?
Yes.
Is there gel and shampoo in the desert accommodations?
In the hotel where you spend the first night, yes, but not in the standard tent. If you choose a superior tent, there are usually some. On our author trips we stay in a superior tent.
Is there hot water in the tents?
Yes, there is hot water, but you have to wait a bit. The energy used is solar.
Can children ride camels?
Yes, all children are allowed to travel on camels. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by their parents or a guardian on the same camel.
Can we end the tour in Ouarzazate?
Yes, there is no problem, as long as the chosen route ends in Marrakech. You will have to indicate this in the special instructions section of the order when making the reservation and notify the guide or driver.
Can you pick us up at one hotel and drop us off at a different one upon our return?
Yes, as long as the hotels are located outside the Medina. If the hotel or riad is located in the Medina, we will drop you off at a nearby point, because the streets of the Medina are very narrow and some places can only be accessed on foot.
What kind of food is served during dinners?
During dinner, we will serve typical Moroccan food: tagine, couscous and skewers.
How much time will we have in Ourzazate and the Todra Gorges?
In Ouarzazate and Todra Gorges you will have half an hour in each place. On author trips we have more flexibility, we visit more places, and we spend more or less time in the places according to the group's preference, as long as time allows.
What time do morning activities start?
Activities begin at a:pproximately 8:00 a.m. On author trips, we start between 8:30 am and 9:00 am.
How long does the camel ride last?
The camel ride to the camp takes about an hour. The next day, you will have to make the same journey back. On author trips, the rides last between 30 and 40 minutes. The next day, we return by Jeep or 4x4.
Does this tour visit Erg Chebbi?
Yes, Erg Chebbi and Merzouga desert are two names referring to the same desert.
Does the excursion include menu options for celiacs or vegetarians?
Yes. You must indicate any special requests in the comments field during the booking process and remind the driver on the first day of the tour.
Is there any alternative to doing a desert excursion without having to ride a camel?
Yes, you can travel by car instead of by camel. You must indicate this in the special instructions section of your order when making your reservation and notify the driver the first day of the excursion.
